Alberta Foothills Outdoor Coalition
The Rocky Mountain foothills of Alberta extend from the Montana Border north to the Kakwa Wilderness area. This area has a long history and many traditions. Old cabins and aboriginal gravesites are seen throughout the foothills region. The
Biodiversity on the eastern slopes has a variety of life forms and a unique
ecosystem. The Alberta Foothills Outdoor Coalition (AFOC) is a network of outdoor
recreational groups who are committed to the well being of the Rocky Mountain
foothills region. AFOC Members work and play in this wilderness area and are
committed to ensuring access to the foothills region, where members can enjoy
the remote regions in a responsible way.
